In all the build up and excitement over Diablo 3, some games were bound to slip off of the popular radar, but hidden in the details are little gems that prove worthy of your gaming time. Torchlight 2 was mothered by WOW and fathered by Diablo, in which it plays exactly like the latter and looks likes the former. With the Beta closing down tomorrow, I want to take this opportunity to give an honorable mention to a game that proves its worth in the shadow of a gaming beast. Developed by Seattle-based Runic Games, I highly encourage you to play this game  and promise you that it will more than fill that gaming gap left empty by Diablo’s server meltdowns and maintenance issue. I’m actually willing to bet that you may actually prefer Torchlight 2 over Blizzard’s Demon.

At a mere $20, this game has more than proven its value in my opinion and is well worth the investment. Get your friends together and jump in to surprisingly well thought-out and decent dungeon adventure!
